A site visit to Al-Zafarana Wind Farm

Within the framework of the protocol and joint cooperation between the Higher Institute of Engineering and the New and Renewable Energy Authority, the Department of Power and Electrical Machinery Engineering at the Institute organized a field trip for the department’s students to the Zaafarana Wind Farm which produces electricity from wind energy. The Zaafarana Wind Farm is a plant for producing electricity from wind and is located in the city of Ras Gharib, which belongs to the Red Sea Governorate. It is one of the earliest farms established to produce energy from wind in Egypt
