The Department of Civil Engineering was established by Ministerial Decree No. 1437 on September 10, 2000. The first graduating class, consisting of 22 students, graduated in the 2003/2004 academic year. By the 2021/2022 academic year, the total number of graduates from the department reached 7,562, accounting for 38% of the total graduates from the High Institute of Engineering since its inception. For the 2022/2023 academic year, the number of enrolled students in the program is 1,114, covering all four academic years.
