Students
from the GDSC team at Al-Shorouk Academy, in collaboration with the
Entrepreneurship Center at the institute, organized the "Solution
Challenge Hackathon," held annually by the Google Developer Student Club.
The event took place from January 15 to 17, 2024, at the International Media
Institute Theatre in Al-Shorouk Academy.

Day 1:
The first day began
with the reception of students from 24 Egyptian universities, including:

The
conference activities included numerous lectures and seminars at the
International Media Institute Theatre, with Mahmoud El-Sabki being one of the
most engaging speakers, discussing cybersecurity.
Day 2:
The
second day featured discussion sessions and project preparation in lecture
halls and classrooms, with consultants in projects and entrepreneurship
providing assistance to students in developing their ideas.
Day 3:

They reviewed the 45
competing projects, narrowing them down to ten for the final evaluation. The
winning teams were announced as follows:
1st
Place: A prize of 15,000 EGP awarded to Menoufia University for their project
on a drug storage solution.
2nd
Place: A prize of 10,000 EGP awarded to Obour Institute for their project on
waste management.
3rd
Place: Google gift prizes awarded to Zagazig University for their project on
driver safety.
