The Department of Architecture at the Higher Institute of Engineering, El Shorouk, held its first scientific conference to address the challenges of education during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The conference focused on various methods for improving and enhancing the educational process through distance learning and social distancing measures imposed by the pandemic. It also examined teaching experiences from various institutes and universities to leverage expertise and advance educational practices.
The conference featured distinguished guests, including Mr. Thomas Vonier, President of the International Union of Architects, and Professor Wassim Naghi, President of the Mediterranean Union of Architects, along with a number of esteemed architecture professors from Egypt and around the world.
The opening speech was delivered by Professor Dr. Moataz Tolba, Dean of the Institute, and the welcoming remarks were made by Professor Dr. Manal Yehia, Head of the Department of Architecture. The conference was coordinated by Dr. Maha Fawzy, Lecturer in Architecture, and the sessions were managed by Dr. Hossam Eldin Bahgat, Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture.
