In a pioneering move, the graduation projects of the Architecture program at the Higher Institute of Engineering in Shorouk were directed towards community service and environmental development. This was achieved through a cooperation protocol with the Upper Egypt Development Authority. The Authority's president and a committee from the Authority were invited to evaluate and discuss the graduation projects, resulting in the selection of seven projects for implementation in Upper Egypt.
The students whose projects were chosen for implementation in Upper Egypt were invited to present their projects at the Authority and discuss them. The president of the Authority praised the projects and the promising level of graduates from the Shorouk Architecture program, as well as the project supervisors and their assistants who contributed to these promising projects. Additionally, the Authority engaged some graduates from the Shorouk Architecture program this year to participate in various projects of the Upper Egypt Development Authority.
