Prof. Dr. Ayman Mohamed Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research, issued a ministerial decision to form the Supreme
Committee for the Selection of Deans of Private Institutes, headed by Prof. Dr.
Gouda Mohamed Ghanem, Vice President of El Shorouk Academy.
The Supreme Committee included Prof. Dr. Gamal Hashem, Dean of the
Higher Technological Institute in the 10th of Ramadan (Rapporteur), Prof. Dr.
Ahmed Hazem Elmahdi, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Nile University,
Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdelaal Hammad, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and
Administration, 6th of October University and former Dean of the Faculty of
Commerce, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Soha Mohamed Abdelwahab, Dean of the
Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Helwan University, Prof. Dr. Amr Ahmed Abdelhadi,
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Emad
Makkawi, former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University,
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel fattah, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and
Administration, Misr University for Science and Technology and former Vice Dean
of the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University.
The committee is responsible for examining the applications of
applicants for the institute deanship one week after the institute has submitted
the names of the candidates with the required data and documents, and then
ranking them according to the committee’s evaluation. A report on this will be
submitted to the Minister. The Minister has the right to repeat the procedures
again if any of the conditions are not met.
